Who is the BDEFS Observer Long Form for?

This 89-item Other-Report asks someone who knows an adult well about everyday executive functioning over the past six months. Its five areas concern time management, organization and problem solving, self-restraint, motivation, and regulation of emotion. It is not interchangeable with the self-report form.

Instructions and raw-score meaning

Choose Never or rarely, Sometimes, Often, or Very often based on observed behavior. Complete every item. This website sums responses from 1–4 into a descriptive raw total from 89 to 356 and gives a short on-screen explanation.

Why this is not an official normed BDEFS report

Official interpretation requires the licensed Other-Report manual and applicable normative tables. A raw sum is not a percentile, ADHD diagnosis, clinical cutoff, or official normed report. Published evidence for BDEFS does not establish independent validation of this web implementation.
