The evaluation was extremely thorough. They took into account my detailed life history, gave me multiple online tests, and then a 2 hour interview on zoom. It was all done online. And the price is much more affordable than in person evaluations. The psychologist who evaluated me, Faith Sproul, was very neuro affirming, respectful, kind, patient, gentle, and very professional. Never was I made to feel as though my ASD 1 diagnosis meant there was something wrong or deficient. My Autism assessment was a great experience. The Psychologist assigned to me was very knowledgeable and comfortable to work with. The format worked very well, and the assessment is thorough and low stress. The optional extra report was very thorough and worth it. I highly recommend the Sachs Center.
This was an excellent experience. If you need testing only and are looking for experienced doctors, this is the place. Testing was affordable (especially compared to full 8-hour assessments), fast (same-day results instead of waiting weeks), and my doctor had 20 years of experience. She was neuroaffirming, up to date on recent research, and genuinely empathetic. I got exactly what I needed and felt supported throughout.

My only feedback concerns the volume of emails. I booked an appointment just a few days out and received about 8 emails—too many, I think. With ADHD, I lose track of details after about two. 😉
The zoom evaluation was convenient, not too lengthy and to the point. They gave us the questionnaires to make out beforehand which was helpful. Dr Krauss was professional, very positive and thoughtful. At the end of the evaluation he confirmed my daughter is ADHD negative even though she has some elements of it but not enough to diagnosed as an ADHD. He encouraged and gave her some advices on how to improve those elements. He didn't push her for therapy but did say just email him anytime needed. In general were were comfortable with his session. The cost is reasonable enough since it only focuses on ADHD and Autism with options of getting the official report if positive or needed. We are satisfied with Sachs Center.
I paid for a dual assessment of Autism and ADHD with a report recommending accomadations for school and work. I got my diagnosis and was clearly explained what types and how it affects my life. Autism is a spectrum, and I was able to see exactly where I am in the spectrum.

How do I know if my child needs ADHD testing?

What’s the difference between the 2-hour ADHD test and a neuropsychological evaluation?
The Sachs Center’s focused 2-hour Diagnostic ADHD Testing addresses ADHD and screens for anxiety and depression. A broader 8-hour neuropsychological evaluation also includes cognitive, academic, memory, and emotional assessments. Schools and testing organizations may require different documentation, so check their requirements before choosing an appointment.
Can my child get ADHD findings the same day?
With the Diagnostic ADHD Testing option, findings and a diagnosis, if applicable, can be discussed on the day of the assessment. A diagnosis letter is included. Confirm documentation timing with our office; some evaluations require further information before findings can be finalized.
How does online ADHD testing work for children?
The Sachs Center’s licensed psychologists conduct virtual evaluations through secure video, combining clinical interviews with evidence-based questionnaires. This is different from an online screening quiz, which is not a diagnostic tool. Your clinician will consider whether telehealth is suitable for your child and whether additional assessment is needed.
What happens during a child ADHD assessment?
The assessment includes four main steps: a clinical interview about your child’s challenges, developmental history, and family experiences; review of ADHD diagnostic criteria; parent questionnaires about impulsivity, executive functioning, attention, and focus; and a discussion of findings with personalized treatment recommendations.
Why see a psychologist for my child’s ADHD evaluation?
A psychological evaluation provides time to explore your child’s concerns in detail using clinical interviews and evidence-based diagnostic tools. Our psychologists can consider possible explanations for the difficulties your family is noticing and discuss the findings and next steps with you.
Will my child’s ADHD test screen for other conditions?
The Sachs Center’s ADHD assessment screens for anxiety and depression, which can overlap with ADHD symptoms. Your psychologist also considers other explanations and may recommend additional assessment when needed.
How are parents or family members involved?
Parent questionnaires are part of the child assessment. Other family perspectives or school records may help provide a fuller picture of your child’s challenges. Our psychologists will guide you on what information would be useful for your appointment.
Can my child’s ADHD documentation support school accommodations?
A diagnosis letter or detailed report may support a request for school accommodations, including a 504 plan or IEP. Schools make their own eligibility decisions and may need additional information or testing. Ask the school for its documentation requirements and contact our office to discuss which evaluation option fits your needs.
What treatment options are available after my child’s assessment?
Treatment for ADHD is tailored to your child’s needs. Options may include psychoeducation, therapy, medication when appropriate, and practical support strategies. Your Sachs Center clinician will discuss recommendations and a personalized plan with your family. Medication decisions require a prescribing clinician.
