What is the Sachs Center adult autism checklist?
This is a clinic-authored set of 20 adult self-reflection statements, not the AQ-10. It can help organize examples of everyday experiences for discussion. No independent validation, norms, or established diagnostic cutoff have been documented for this checklist.
How to answer and read the result
Choose Agree or Disagree for every statement using your own experience; no validated fixed recall period is supplied. The score is an unweighted 0–20 Agree count, shown with a short explanation. The historical clinic prompt of 10 or more is not a validated diagnostic threshold.
What are the limitations?
A higher count does not confirm autism, and a lower count does not exclude it. Counts cannot be compared with cutoffs from other autism instruments. If experiences affect daily life or you want diagnostic clarity, consider the broader history and an appropriately qualified assessment.
